Two colourways, both edible-sounding. Butter Pink Brown runs rose and cream stripes over a chocolate base with a pale butter backrest and a brown scatter cushion. Chocolate Milky Blue runs sky blue and cream stripes pinstriped in brown, over a bright blue base, with a chocolate backrest and a blue scatter cushion. A small woven zeze tab sits on the front of the right-hand arm.

The surface is the unusual part. Instead of plush, zeze uses cotton fabric and canvas, which is cooler under a cat in summer, holds a crisp printed stripe without blurring, and takes claws better than a long pile does. Inside, polyurethane foam works with polyester fibre, so the arms and base hold a defined edge and the seat stays flat rather than dishing into a hammock.

Because the backrest and scatter cushion are loose rather than sewn in, the sofa adapts: leave both in for a cat that likes to be propped and surrounded, or lift them out for a longer stretch of open seat.
